As you may have guessed by now I am a fan of all things Japanese, be that the food, culture or video games. Thus when I came across this brilliant website allowing you to create your own samurai avatar I leapt at the chance, after all, who wouldn’t want to see themselves adorning the eponymous warrior’s garb?
For about a year I was looking on Amazon for a good Japanese cookbook, spurred on by some great cuisine I had eaten in Italy (of all places…) and at a festival. Unfortunately most on offer seemed fairly uninspiring with mixed reviews. It was to my good fortune then that Japaneasy by Tim Anderson released just in time for Christmas.
