Material Noise in Cinema 4D

Just a quick Cinema 4D tip for you this week that I wish I had of known much earlier when learning the software. Though you may be encouraged to plug in image textures all the time for your materials (I know I am), sometimes creating your materials procedurally is the way to go. Offering higher resolution and typically tiling much easier, the way to build such materials often relies on layers of noise. But with so many options it can be a right faff to choose. Not so, with an easily overlooked function in the materials window.

2021 Nintendo Switch Year in Review

Following on from my previous Spotify Wrapped blog post, Nintendo have now revealed my play statistics in a similar fashion for my Switch. Unlike with the 3DS, these statistics are no longer readily available on the console itself so receiving this information at the end of the year really does feel like a gift, even if it does reveal things best not shared with others…

Google Doodle – Celebrating Pizza

A lot of Google Doodles are static or offer simple animation, as such when a game is hidden within I get very excited (and distracted!). I get even more excited when said Doodle is a celebration of pizza, such a wonderful food and a Friday night treat in my household – minimal effort, minimal washing up. Pizza cutter primed, I got ready to tackle all the pesky pizzas coming my way.

Spotify Wrapped 2021

So it’s that time of year again. As we near the end of 2021 and enter the Christmas season, Spotify have wrapped up our listening habits once more with a bow, into a brilliant story to share across our social media (or blog in my case).
