If you’d have said to me a year ago that I would be attending a drum and bass festival this last Friday, I wouldn’t have believed you. Then again, if you’d have told me a year ago I would have a girlfriend I wouldn’t have believed you either. With her birthday just around the corner, we attended Titan, Cardiff on 17th September. With pyrotechnics, lasers and other crazy visuals it was quite the experience, even if the music wasn’t exactly to my tastes.

3D Pen Creations
So as you may recall, for my birthday I received a Polaroid PLAY 3D Pen. My initial experiment consisted of a rather messy, half-arsed cube and thus looking to improve my skills and create something more impressive, I looked to my favourite franchises for inspiration.

As you may have guessed by now I am a fan of all things Japanese, be that the food, culture or video games. Thus when I came across this brilliant website allowing you to create your own samurai avatar I leapt at the chance, after all, who wouldn’t want to see themselves adorning the eponymous warrior’s garb?
Polaroid PLAY 3D Pen
So last weekend was by 25th birthday and, coming as a complete surprise, some of my friends pitched in to get me a Polaroid PLAY 3D Pen with extra filaments. Studying Interactive Design at university, I love a good gadget and one of my favourite projects involved using a 3D printer to create my own models. A similar item was even flagged during research, just a Kickstarter project at the time, so being able to finally get my hands on this fun and creative technology is very exciting!
